Job Posting Details

The Finance Office is looking for an accounting professional with good analytical skills to assist in the management of the financial activities of the University.

Reporting to the senior management of the Finance Office, this role will take up the following responsibilities: 

  1. Supervise the day-to-day processing of financial operations of the responsible functional areas (e.g. financial service support to departments, administration of capital project accounts, budget clearance etc.) to ensure compliance with the relevant policies and procedures;
  2. Perform financial analysis and reporting of related financial operations of the responsible functional areas for management review and discussion;
  3. Support the System Unit on implementation and enhancement of the current financial systems;
  4. Propose and implement change initatives to streamline operations in order to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal control;
  5. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a recognized professional accounting qualification with substantial relevant work experience. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is required. Experience in PeopleSoft ERP System will be an advantage. The appointee should be a mature team player with good analytical skills and able to communicate fluently in English and Chinese (including Putonghua). He/She should be self-motivated with multi-tasking and good interpersonal skills. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
