Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, monitor and supervise the daily operation of Accounts Payable team
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and compare system reports to balances
  • Establish and maintain the company fixed assets register
  • Take lead of regular stock-take exercises
  • Maintain historical records
  • Work closely with the treasury team to ensure payment to vendors occur on time
  • Respond to vendors' enquiries regarding finance related matters
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Enhance the payment process continuously

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting, business, finance, economics or a related discipline
  • Professional qualified accountant with minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or a related field with 4 years in supervisory level, preferably in Accounts Payable
  • Hands-on experience in financial closing and reporting with experience in computerized accounting systems
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent communication skills (e.g. verbal, written, and listening)
  • Self-starter, take the initiative and responsibility; able to analyse complex data and summarize in a concise manner, provide meaningful business recommendations in a timely fashion
