Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting the financial performance of the company with respect to the capital efficiency and solutions. Lead sub-ordinates to ensure timely delivery of quality results

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish an efficient and robust production process of management information under capital management framework to facilitate risk-based decision making of business, financial and investment strategies
  • Project the capital position of the company on regulatory and economic basis. Evaluate the capital solutions such as reinsurance and solutions offers by investment bank to manage ALM position of Par and Non-Par funds that optimise the capital requirements. Work closely with Investment and Actuarial Department to implement capital solutions
  • Ensure the compliance of various capital and risk management requirement from Group Office and regulators on daily work
  • Perform the production of financial information and the regular capital reporting that assigned to Capital Management Department. Analyse the results to identify financial risk of the company if any. Work closely with Actuarial, Investment and Risk on analysing the capital related implications of upcoming regulatory changes if applicable
  • Evaluate from capital perspective the financial / business implication of various strategies to support bonus and crediting rate recommendation
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirement

 

Job Requirements

  • University / College graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant subject plus at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Sound people management and analytical skills
  • Good communication, presentation and project management skills
  • Possess business acumen, be innovative and self-driven
  • Knowledge in insurance products and various financial reporting bases
  • Knowledge in asset liability management and economic based capital regime will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Business Software and Actuarial Software
