Job Posting Details

The appointee will be responsible for the execution of programs and activities to assist students achieve a fruitful residential life in student halls and perform central administration work for residential life team. Work areas include but not limited to planning and promotion of student activities, organization and assist faculty members to provide residential learning programs, central administration and logistic of programs and activities, supervise junior staff in organizing student activities and central programs offered by Student Housing and Residential Life Office, and other duties assigned by the office.

The appointee will work in a dynamic environment and maintain good relationship with residents as there will be much liaison with individual students, Hall Tutors, Faculty members, internal departments as well as external organizations. The appointee will be required to work on flexible hours according to assigned schedule and may be required to perform duties beyond normal working hours.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience, a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good IT skills, competent interpersonal and communication skills and an outgoing personality. Candidates with experience in taking up leadership roles in tertiary institutions or post-qualification experience in residential life or student-oriented programs will be advantageous.  Ideal candidates should have a genuine interest in students’ development and be passionate in coaching student bodies and leaders (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
