The HKIC is looking for a highly talented individual to fill the position of:
Assistant Manager – Student Recruitment

 The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised bachelor’s degree;
  2. a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification work experience in student admissions, recruitment and promotion, preferably in educational or vocational training sector;
  3. strong network with secondary schools and NGOs;
  4. a strong sense of commitment, detailed-oriented with good analytical and presentation skills;
  5. proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Chinese Word Processing; and
  6. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include

  1. to assist the Manager – Student Recruitment in preparing admission guidelines and managing admission process, including but not limited to admission interviews, assessment and making offers, etc., and to ensure the admission process are carried out in line with the admission policy;
  2. to supervise subordinates and ensure their high efficiency in carrying out the admission process, handling application enquiries and complaints;
  3. to open up new channels and community outreach opportunities for enhancement of student recruitment performance;
  4. to manage the records in Student Information Management System, and make good use of the data to prepare analysis and recommend recruitment strategies;
  5. to participate and deliver presentations in student recruitment events;
  6. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.


The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
