The CIC is looking for a highly talented individual to fill the position of:
Assistant Manager — Trade Testing (Safety Assessment)

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree in construction-related or safety management disciplines;
  2. a minimum of 7 years' post-qualification working experience in construction site safety; with experience in execution of construction works projects would be an advantage;
  3. qualification of Registered Safety Officer under Factories and Industrial Undertakings(Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations (FIU(SO&SS)R) (Cap. 59);
  4. extensive experience in formal safety training is preferable;
  5. sound knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management systems;
  6. self-starter and self-directed attitude, and capability of working with minimal supervision;
  7. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is a must.

Duties include

  1. to formulate, review and implement safety assessment in trade testing for the construction industry;
  2. to uplift safety requirements in written test and practical test of trade testing;
  3. to design and implement safety related assessment objectives, methods, test projects, scoring systems, criteria, rubrics, etc. in trade testing;
  4. to develop and implement EHS strategies and plans to meet the Trade Testing Centre's initiatives in an innovative way;
  5. to ensure the operations and improvement works projects of the Trade Testing Centre are in compliance with local health and safety regulations;
  6. to provide safety training, perform inspection, prepare accident investigation and analysis, and carry out EHS related improvement initiatives;
  7. to be flexible for working on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday subject to operational needs;
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
