Role Overview

This role is responsible for the delivery of communications activity across digital, social and traditional media, with the objective of generating new client leads for the company, as well as maintaining brand health and engagement.

The geographical scope of this role is predominantly Hong Kong and Singapore, but the post-holder must ensure activities are aligned across all markets and support the overall communications strategy.


Key accountabilities

  • Social Media
    • Under the direction of the marketing manager, support the delivery of the social media marketing plan
      • Rolling 3 month campaign plan
      • Research, planning, and production of social media content in Cantonese and English, integrating with website content
      • Process enquiries via social media according to the corporate social media guidelines and assist teams where appropriate
      • Deliver competitor reporting and social media reporting on a monthly basis to the marketing manager
      • Identify new opportunities to grow reach amongst target audience
  • Website
    • Editorial Content
  • Research user search traffic trends pertinent to our core business activity
  • Support the development of the editorial plan and manage the delivery of content on the website in Cantonese and English
  • Audit and review performance of content, generating insights for ongoing optimisation
    • Work in partnership with Mainland China colleagues to apply the same approach to the Mainland website
  • Create, maintain and review the performance of campaign landing pages to ensure the effective conversion of visitors into leads via digital marketing activity
    • Maintenance and Site Performance
      • Facilitate the resolution of website errors as and when they occur, e.g. server downtime, server errors (e.g. 404s) etc., working with the relevant third parties as required
      • Ensure the smooth delivery of key functionalities, including VetPort login page, client contact forms, tracking pixels, dynamic content (e.g. animated banners, video etc.)
      • Responsible for issuing internal communications to all colleagues in the event of any major changes or site outages
      • Deliver web analytics reporting to the marketing manager on a monthly basis
  • Email Marketing
    • Monthly marketing and CRM programme
      • Support the marketing manager with the ongoing management of the email marketing programme, targeting existing clients and PHC members across all markets
    • Weekly internal communications programme
      • Content development and liaison with clinic teams
      • Email template design
      • Deployment of email programme on a weekly basis to all staff
    • Monthly reporting
  • Search Engine Marketing
    • Support the management of Google Adwords activity
      • Campaign Setup and Optimisation
      • Budget setting
      • Account administration
      • Monthly reporting
    • Proactively develop knowledge and expertise, seeking to improve campaign performance ongoing
  • Media Outreach
    • Support the identification of local media opportunities, online and offline
    • Support the business in the running of community events as required, producing marketing collateral across all client touchpoints
  • Clinic Support

    • Support clinics across Hong Kong and Singapore with ad hoc requests as required

Person Specification

The post-holder must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • 2+ years’ local marketing experience in an SME/corporate environment. Agency experience is advantageous
  • Comes to work with positive energy and has a can-do attitude
  • High proficiency in Cantonese and English, with strong written communication skill in both languages
  • Detail oriented and doesn’t cut corners
  • Expertise in social media, email, search, and content marketing
  • Knowledge and active interest in learning new digital marketing trends
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is always looking for ways to improve ways of working, whilst identifying opportunities to build our brand
  • Willingness to get the job done right first time- pulls out all the stops
  • Ambitious and is serious about developing a career marketing communications
