Assistant Officer (Ref. 220627011-IE)
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative and secretarial support to administrative committees and academic programmes in the Department;
(b) organise departmental activities, conference and seminars;
(c) compile departmental reports and publications;
(d) assist in supervising junior staff;
(e) liaise with other units of the University as well as external organisations including professional bodies;
(f) handle enquires from students, staff members and relevant stakeholders on matters related to the Department; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his delegates.
The appointee will be required to work outside office hours.
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) have at least three years of post-qualification administrative experience, preferably gained in education settings;
(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(d) have good computer literacy;
(e) have good communication interpersonal, liaison and organisational skills;
(f) have high self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks independently; and
(g) be a good team player.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
