Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering/Science (Ref. 16101101) for more information about the Department. 


The appointee will be required to: 

(a)     teach relevant undergraduate and postgraduate environmental subjects, such as Environmental Impact Assessment, Sustainable Development, Occupational Health, Safety Technology, and other environment related subjects;

(b)     supervise student projects and theses;  

(c)     initiate, lead and participate in research activities;

(d)     undertake other relevant duties, including programme leadership, curriculum development, programme validation and accreditation, etc.; and

(e)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates. 


Applicants should:

(a)     have a PhD degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or Environmental/Occupational Safety and Health or Civil Engineering (major in Environmental Engineering);

(b)     have solid experience in teaching and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research;

(c)     have a good record of research and scholarship; and

(d)     be able to demonstrate effective classroom teaching skills and have good interpersonal skills.
