The Divinity School of Chung Chi College (DSCCC) is an ecumenical divinity school belonging also to the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which is ranked 2nd in Asia and 32nd in the world for Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies by the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. DSCCC is a vibrant community contributing significantly not only to the local churches in Hong Kong, but also to Asian regions and beyond. We are currently developing international ties and launching new projects in the coming years - extending our significance not only to Chinese speaking but also to English speaking communities worldwide.

DSCCC invites applications for an Assistant Professorship in Hebrew Bible and postcolonial studies.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD or ThD degree in Hebrew Bible, with a proficiency in postcolonial theories and/or cultural studies. Experience in theological education and knowledge of the local context will be an advantage.

For this post:  Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2020, which, subject to performance, funding and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
