Our client, a reputable corporation is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join their PMO

 

Responsibilities:

  • As a member in Project Management Office to handle overall planning, implementation and reporting of PMO initiatives independently
  • Assist in managing the queue of priorities, weigh in on the importance of each, and make recommendations on the order in which to perform these tasks
  • Prepare regular PMO reports and specific / ad hoc reports in different formats for management as required
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to administer the complete cycle of projects to ensure milestones are achieved on time
  • Prepare and participate in risk, issue and opportunity identification and escalate to project or programme leadership when assistance is required to remove road blocks
  • Administer status reports, project tracking mechanism, and monitoring procedures to ensure all stakeholders are informed of current and future project related status
  • Coordinate and review requests for changes from original plan, and assist in monitoring, tracking and controlling changes to the projects through formal change control management
  • Participate to develop new or revamp existing tools and protocols that continue to perfect the programme/project management discipline

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Information Technology, computing or related subjects
  • Have at least 5 years’ IT related project management experience involving complex projects in a large corporation
  • Possession of PMP or other project management qualification is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Fluent in English, Chinese (preferred both Mandarin and Cantonese)
