Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. In 2019/20, the Club made a record return to the Government of HK$19.9 billion in duty and profits tax and contributed HK$0.8 billion to the Lotteries Fund. Approved charity and community donations were HK$4.5 billion.

Assistant Project Manager (Programme Management Office, Racing)

The Department

Our Programme Management Office, Racing (PMO) is a newly established department. We manages strategic initiatives and projects as well as perform planning and analysis to achieve Racing Division’s business objectives. We are now looking for a motivated professional to join our team.



The Job

  • Work with assigned Racing departments to review the dual-site operating models, as-is operating processes and operating results for new requirements, enhancement opportunities, business & financial justifications, and efficiency improvements
    Similar works would apply to other GBA’s initiatives
  • Assist to manage assigned projects including scope management, schedule, development activities, and quality & alignment of deliverables to objectives
  • Work with assigned work streams on implementation planning and other related documentations
  • Conduct research and analysis for business development opportunities in Mainland, and assist to manage projects in supporting the GBA equine sports developments
  • Undertake any ad-hoc projects as assigned by seniors



About you

  • A Bachelor degree in any Business disciplines, Marketing, Journalism or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in business project management experience
  • Mainland projects experience gained from MNC is a strong plus
  • General Management Consulting experience is a strong plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Good team player, flexible and eager to learn
  • Build up knowledge of Racing and Racing Operations
  • Willing to travel and work in the Mainland for projects
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven, flexible and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Understanding of the Racing / Equine industry is a strong advantage

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
