Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Retail Risk Analytics Manager. 

In this role, you will

  • ​Initiate, develop and manage account management analytics, strategy development projects relating to credit line management, authorization and verification through use of existing scorecards, bureau data refresh, on us information and other alternative data.
  • Undertake responsibilities from project design, data collection, analysis, summary of findings, recommendations to presentation of proposal. Thereby directly and materially influencing the right levels of profit returns that are within risk appetite for sustainable portfolio growth.
  • Simplify and automate portfolio management decisions and processes to improve speed to market.
  • Work closely with Decision System teams to ensure prioritization and timeliness to execute the developed in and off TRIAD strategies and champion challenger testing in decision engine, tool or account management systems.
  • Verify implementation of strategies in and off TRIAD to support account management treatments across markets, where needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate strategies, tests for continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Proactively engage stakeholders to support business initiatives and provide recommendations to achieve AOP targets.
  • Facilitate approval requests on new strategy related tests and rollout implementation of processes and framework in a timely basis.
  • Support the implementation of the state of the art, group standard system for behavioral scoring and adaptive control TRIAD across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Identify gaps in current operation and suggest measures to streamline operation process and enhance customer experience.
  • Manage relationship with stakeholders within the Regional RBWM Risk and business teams, Regional Risk teams, and with the country level risk and business teams. Proactively reaching out to build rapport and trust with the stakeholders. Be responsive and effective in task and project management. 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • ​Solid knowledge with credit cycle management, credit risk management in retail banking environment.
  • Good understanding of acquisition and portfolio management methodologies.
  • Experience in utilizing data analytics for robust strategy design and development.
  • Strong planning, analytical, communications, decision making, influencing, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate across various business lines and units at senior levels within the organization.
  • An undergraduate or post graduate degree in Statistics, Science, Engineering, Computing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • Experiences in financial services industry, preferably in business or risk department of retail banking.
  • Hands on experience in SAS, VBA, SQL and data modeling.
