Personnel Office

The Personnel Office invites suitable candidates for the above post in employee engagement and dispute resolution.

Applicants should have (i) a good honors degree, preferably in social work, psychology or a related discipline; (ii) ample experience (not less than seven years) in case management, handling workplace human relations and/or personnel-related functions; (iii) hands-on experience in managing and developing employee relations at sizeable organisations; (iv) good analytical ability and well-honed interpersonal skills; (v) experience in committee work; (vi) demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively; and (vii) a highly effective command of English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua an added advantage). Additional qualification in counselling or mediation will be an advantage.

The appointee will join a well-established personnel management team in the University, and will attend to one or more of the major personnel management functions, with emphasis on staff relations and conflict resolution. He/ She will advise, and if necessary partner with, the personnel teams and line units in handling employee cases. He/ She will also drive employee engagement programmes, create targeted interventions on engagement initiatives including caring programmes, retention and career development.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a written test. The University reserves the right to make appointment at other appropriate level depending on the credentials of the candidate.
