  • Develop the design of the space and creative to embody the brand position and “look and feel” including:
    • Stores and wholesale shops (key priorities)
    • Offices / showrooms
    • Trade events
    • Key, flagship consumer events
  • Manage communication with external consultants and affiliates about store development principles which are aligned to the global retail format and brand positioning
  • Ensure that Affiliates comply with agreed standards and processes required for planning of store set-ups – provide coaching where necessary
  • Provide layout plans for store openings and store upgrades prior to implementation
  • Develops a forecast of store opening through partnership with the Affiliates
  • Set up processes and ensure that documented procedures exist.  This includes periodic reviews of the processes to ensure currency and effectiveness
  • Be the central point of contact for all store development projects, data, library
  • Develop a procurement approach by providing an approved vendor list for fixture and fittings (procured locally) and central procurement of hardware, as appropriate

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Interior Architecture and Design or equivalent
  • 5 years in the retail industry with the last 2 years in a similar regional role
  • Must be able to use Autocad/Illustrator/Photoshop/Powerpoint proficiently
  • Good retail operations knowledge, gained from retail operation, store design, layout, space management and store profitability
  • Apparel/Retail/FMCG background is preferred
  • Consumer Marketing experience in a global brand
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.  Ensure effective communication with both external parties and global colleagues & cross-culturally
  • Ability to coach & train colleagues
  • Sense of urgency, Entrepreneurial, collaborative
  • Regional experience is expected at a minimum plus interactions with global HQ
  • Strong project management & planning ability
  • Excel skills is a Must
  • Hands-on approach / adaptable to support wherever required
  • Creative judgement and consumer focus
