An Associate at Kreab Hong Kong is the career commencement position for individuals looking to become a professional PR account representative. In the position, said individual will be expected to handle a broad variety of tasks as a member of an account team.

 

The role will initially have limited direct contact with clients, but over time this will change and Associates are expected to develop basic client handling skills and the ability to play an important implementation role on accounts.

 

An Associate may have limited direct experience of our business on joining the firm, as the majority will be first-time graduates.  However, they are expected to display both the ability and high degree of motivation required to develop and improve professional skills. 

  

Required Skills 

  • Degree holder with at least 1 year of relevant experience; First-time graduates and candidates with less experience will be hired as Junior Associate
  • Strong writing skills in both Chinese and English
  • Basic presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, high sense of responsibility, well-organized and a good team player
  • Have an understanding of economic, political, financial, business and social issues
  • Have a good understanding of how the media works 

 

Job duties

  • Assist in organizing and implementing client events, including press conferences and other logistical events
  • Able to help plan and prepare production of client communication tools, including brochures, annual reports, videos, advertising and others
  • Translate both internal and client written materials
  • Set up press monitoring services and undertake media monitoring internally
  • Write and manage press summary reports
  • Draft press releases
  • Write and maintain contact notes for client meetings
  • Create and monitor media lists
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is a must
