Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. Associate Project Manager (IT Programme Management Office)

The Department

IT Programme Management Office (ITPMO) is responsible for the financial and manpower planning, training and development planning, overall project governance function, providing direction, guidance, coordination and management of the IT Project Management processes and deliverables.

The Job

You will:

  • Be accountable to the Senior IT Programme Manager of the IT Programme Management Office for the IT project and process governance
  • Implement established policies, process & governance standards and controls to ensure all IT projects are aligned with defined methodologies
  • Responsible for Project CAPEX and OPEX monitoring and analysis
  • Assist in hardware and software maintenance contract review and management
  • Assist in financial and manpower planning activities for the whole IT division
  • Assist in IT project review and analysis
  • Act as a contact point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management, process modelling and requirement management

About You

You should have:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in IT, Business, Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5-8 years relevant experience in an IT environment, experience in Programme Management Office (PMO) is preferable
  • A strong understanding in IT project management methodology and project governance
  • A strong understanding in IT financial planning & management
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Cantonese is required and Putonghua (written and spoken) is an advantage
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred


Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
