AVP, Compliance Manager – Insurance focus

 

Our client is prestigious PRC Financial holdings with strong present in Hong Kong, holds full licenses type including type 1, 2, 4, 6 and 9. Its wealth management business primarily distributes onshore and offshore fixed income, private equity, secondary market equity and insurance products. As its business continue to grow in Hong Kong, our client is now seeking an experienced compliance professional to join the Hong Kong Compliance Team.   

 

This role will directly report to head of compliance, you will be responsible to develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance monitoring program and its related activities. You will respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. In addition, you will act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved. You will also monitor and coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends as well as Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.

 

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • Regulatory bodies experience – SFC or Insurance Authority experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in operational and regulations in Insurance organization including at least 1 year of work experience with regulator is a must
  • Sound knowledge on regulatory requirements and licensing requirements
  • Strong business acumen and communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Mandarin is a must
