As the Business Development Manager, you will have opportunities to contribute to the success of the Company by identifying new business opportunities and achieving portfolio targets through acquisition of new customers in Bank, broker and direct channel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent and promote Euler Hermes trade credit insurance business and generate business opportunities into growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute the company’s distribution strategy in line with your individual sales targets for Hong Kong
  • Develop new distribution channel relationships whenever possible
  • Refer leads to other Euler Hermes business units, divisions and Allianz lines of insurance while identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities.
  • Interact regularly with other core Euler Hermes functions (i.e. Risk, Claims, Policy Administration) and key colleagues on a Business Unit level
  • Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure profitability and quality of the customer portfolio, ensuring proper pricing and compliance with the “Know Your Customer” regulations.
  • Respond to any Euler Hermes reporting requirements promptly and efficiently
  • Display the Allianz/Euler Hermes People Attributes (Trust, Entrepreneurship, Customer and Market Excellence and Collaborative Leadership).

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any business-related discipline.
  • 5 years’ solid experience as a successful salesperson with proven records.
  • Previous work experience in financial services industry an advantage.
  • Ability to build an extensive local network.
  • Customer-driven with a passion to provide high quality services.
  • Outgoing, highly energized and self-motivated.
  • Very good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in working for MNCs / a multicultural environment a definite advantage.
