Dynamics of the Role

  • A technical client facing role responsible for consulting customer to define the customer’s business needs, enhance process flow and deliver solutions utilizing TransUnion products and services
  • Develops SOW, technical requirement documents (from client perspective) to pass & align with technology team to support them in finalizing the detail of the technical design.
  • Initiates request for quote including effort estimation, scope & sizing for human, external, and any related cost such as hardware by working with different technology team.
  • Does internal kick-off meetings to transition technical delivery scope to project manager.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Sales will consult with Client Engineer to understand initial client problem / ask
  • Coach sales on what critical info they need and who potential client stakeholders are from technical size.
  • Participates in follow up client meeting to understand both client need and requirements
  • Develops and documents high level options with recommended solutions
  • Work with internal partners to gain high level quote and solution design
  • Provide technical details for client proposal
  • Writes the technical details for client proposal
  • Writes the technical, configurations or SOW documents
  • Checks with customer at each stage to ensure we understand requirement especially if any changes are needed
  • Manage client expectation on any change requests raised and scope impact with project manager
  • Acts as the SME for product capabilities, configurations options and align this to CBI
  • Review and approve all SOW / configuration documents for BAU and incremental customer driven enhancements
  • Follow through the all key development and UAT milestones, and provide guidance to both external and internal parties
  • Maintains appropriate standards of communication and service to all customers in order to anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Some of the Client engineer management functions include:

o   Manages work flow of team on client technical engagement

o   Has line of site into incoming work

o   Ensures high quality output of team

o   Responsible to build out the library of onboarding documents and templates for efficiencies

o   Participates in delivery meetings and work with stakeholders to prioritize opportunities

Skill Set and Tech Experience Requirement

  • 7 Years of Technical Consulting experience
  • Prior Client Facing / Consulting experience is essential
  • Java, HTML5, React, Hadoop, Python,  JavaScript
  • Android and  IOS app development experience
  • Web App Server and database application development experience
  • Experience with 3rd party platform
  • Experience in using Decision Engine (such as Experian Power Curve/SMG3, or FICO Blade Advisor)
