Client Details

Our client is the industry key players across the world. They are looking for a talent with strong commodity management experience to be one of their calibres in the Hong Kong regional headquarter.

Description

You will work at the group level and define a wide worldwide supply base. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing policies to achieve financial goals and performance. You will proactively complete research and analyse the current market situation and develop strategies for supply chain capacity, planning and technology developments. You will select and manage suppliers so that the best possible price is guaranteed. You will be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies across high-quality suppliers. You will also be accountable for maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers. You will develop and implement spend management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, and procurement/stakeholder collaboration. Finally, you will review the supplier's performances and other activities.

Profile

To qualify, you will have at least 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management experience. A bachelor degree is essential, whereas it would be an advantage if you have previous background in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management. You will be required to travel when it is required. You will have strong track record in component sourcing and ability to work independently. Exceptional communication skills are necessary for the interactions between cross team members and matrix reporting lines. Good command in English is fundamental.
