We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Compliance Advisory Manager, CMB.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory compliance (RC) supports for the business of the Bank’s Commercial Banking to ensure full compliance with the relevant requirements and Group Standards including product development, sales process, marketing materials and other business initiatives. 
  • Support the Head of Compliance Advisory CMB & GBM and Team Head to maintain an effective Compliance control framework and discharge the Compliance responsibilities for Commercial Banking to ensure compliance with all relevant external laws & regulations, internal codes and policies and good market practices relating to Compliance risks from regulatory perspective
  • Provide recommendations to ensure that exposure to regulatory compliance risks/issues are managed in a practical and effective manner
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders within CMB, other Global Business and Functional teams to provide CMB expertise on all RC related matters
  • Review and advise on the rules/ regulations/ consultation papers relating to RC issued by regulatory authorized including HKMA, SFC, and HKAB, etc. 
  • Assist in fostering the compliance culture of the Bank
  • Support the implementation and oversight of the businesses’ policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and RC
 

Requirements

  • University Graduate in Finance / Accounting / Law / Risk Management or related fields.
  • At least 5 years working experience in risk, internal control or RC compliance roles.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking business and broad range of Commercial Banking products and services is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of related rules and regulations, statutory requirements and guidelines from the HKMA, SFC, HKAB and other regulatory bodies. 
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues
  • Excellent communication with strong inter-personal and influencing skills. With experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business.
  • Ability to lead change, contribuing to joining up with the other teams in Risk and Business at Country level
  • Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators professionally
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and / or data and provide succinct summary for management.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
