Physical Education Unit

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; and (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics; OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese, English and Mathematics): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects. Possession of a relevant Diploma or Certificate in Computing or equivalent is preferred. At least 1 year’s or relevant work experience in two or more of the following areas is preferred: (1) computer networking, Web Content Management System (WCMS), web server and FTP server management; (2) firewall system administration and maintenance; (3) Client-Server applications of SQL, MySQL, and web design and programming of Java, PHP, ASP and HTML; and (4) computer graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Duties include (a) providing end-user support for in-house applications and office automation; (b) managing computer network facilities; (c) maintaining existing application systems and assisting in the development of new applications; (d) designing and updating web pages; and (e) designing computer graphic output. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
