The Motion Picture Association, an international trade association representing the world’s leading producers and distributors of filmed entertainment, is seeking a Content Protection Analyst to work with the Director in identifying, investigating, and reporting on threats to legitimate member company movie and television content throughout the Asia-Pacific Region. These threats take a number of forms including theft from theaters, distribution over the internet, and counterfeit goods.


· Collect, analyze and report on intelligence related to online piracy in the region and coordinate with content protection team at MPAA, member companies and law enforcement agencies to develop strategies to identify and apprehend those behind these activities.
· Coordinate with MPA country programs and international colleagues to systematically identify and investigate websites which threaten legitimate content distribution by offering infringing digital and physical copies of MPAA member company content.
· Maintain meticulous records of all investigative and analytical activities.
· Assist MPA regional executives in developing intelligence and trending reports, outreach documents for government and industry, as well as presentations as needed.
· Coordinate flow of information and intelligence data with regional and international colleagues to allow for efficient use within the organization.
· Performing such additional services as Employee may be directed to perform from time to time by Employer’s executives.
· Employee’s responsibilities as described herein may be modified at any time by Employer.



· Excellent written English abilities, particularly report writing
· Proven open-source research and analysis skills appropriate for operational and strategic intelligence production
· Extensive technical knowledge of the internet
· Must possess the highest level of work ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information
· Effective organizer and critical thinker with ability to search out, identify and explain important trends
· Strong understanding of cross-cultural communication challenges. Be able to communicate in a friendly, helpful manner with colleagues and member company representatives, both orally and in writing
· College degree
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
· Occasional international travel


· Working or advanced knowledge of Internet infrastructure
· Native or near-native fluency in a language other than English (both written and spoken)
· Background in internet investigations and/or intelligence analysis
· Interest in motion pictures and the motion picture industry
