Our client is government department. They are looking for Contract Event & Research Officer.

 

Duties:

  • To provide guided tours to groups visiting for Museum and the exhibition therein, and conduct the tours in English, Cantonese or Mandarin.
  • To assist in conducting research on items selected for exhibitions, public programmes and setting up for an online database.
  • To assist in drafting test for exhibitions, publicity materials and the online database.
  • To assist in editing and proofreading tests such as exhibition, e-news, leaflets, website, etc.
  • To provide liaison and logistic support for the events and public programmes organized by the museum, duties include coordinate with the organizers / contracts to oversee the setup of the event, perform crowd and admission control as well as implement all necessary measures to ensure public safety etc.
  • To assist supervisor to set up and operate a mobile museum.
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by representatives of the museum.

Requirement:

  • A bachelor’s degree (2nd Class Honour or above) from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent. With a major / minor in Anthropology / Archaeology / Cultural Management / Cultural Studies / Curatorship / Ethnography / History / Humanities / Museum Studies, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ post qualification full time working experience with good job record. Solid experience of working in museums or cultural institutes is preferred.
  • Chinese language and English language (syllabus B) at grade C or above in the HKCEE or Level 3 or above in Chinese language and English language in HKDSE or equivalent.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English, fluency in spoken Cantonese, English & Mandarin.
  • Ability to present comfortably to large audiences.
