We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Credit Manager.
 
 
Principal responsibilities

To assist line manager to perform credit management duties in the department, via supervising a team of Credit Analysts, with particular focus on the following aspects:

  • Conduct reviews on credit and financial positions of Financial Institutions counterparties;
  • Construct credit limit applications and provide an objective assessment of credit risk for credit facilities for Financial Institutions Counterparties and maintain a positive approach to credit proposals to minimize credit losses within the context of an adequate risk/reward framework;
  • Handle ad hoc limit requests and ensure all transactions are properly dealt within the approved limits and appropriate excess approval, when required;
  • Review and update the existing credit guidelines and seek appropriate approval from Risk regarding credit procedures;
  • Establish credit management and control procedures for the department in accordance with the Group and Regulatory requirements;
  • Participate in various departmental/cross-functional projects related to credit management, e.g. credit compliance assurance, credit process and system enhancement, etc.
 
Requirements
  • University degree in Business Management, Banking, Accounting, Finance, related discipline or other relevant qualifications;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit analysis, credit and business control and/or compliance preferable;
  • Strong analytical ability with good project management, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Resilient, capable to work responsibly in a dynamic environment;
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure;
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes;

Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior role.
