Job Purpose:

This new position is to oversee the green initiatives of the Agency, organize hospitality visits and support in the development of partnership engagement. S/he collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide support related to Corporate Service functions in emergency operations. S/he supports the Head of Corporate Service and Senior Manager (Corporate Service) to ensure implementation and execution of action plans in a quality, efficient and cost-effective manner.


Key Responsibilities
:

  • To formulate and implement workflow, guidelines, and code of practices for the development of the green organization, taking references from the principles of Green Response of the IFRC and other National Societies
  • To take lead and work with Green Group members and service unit representatives to formulate the year plan, prepare and monitor the budget, execute green initiatives to induce and enhance better engagement of colleagues and foster green culture of the Agency
  • To assist Senior Manager to formulate and implement guidelines and work manual for corporate service functions to ensure sustainable operations and quality service
  • To act as the focal person for hospitality visits, plan for visit itinerary, prepare visit materials, collaborate with different service units to arrange briefing to enhance the visitors with Red Cross knowledge and HKRC services
  • To assist Senior Manager / Manager to organize and co-ordinate Agency major initiatives, prepare and manage budget for the initiatives to ensure smooth running
  • To assist Head of Corporate Service / Senior Manager to develop partnership engagement, identify list of potential partnering organizations, establish and maintain database of partners, collect and consolidate information from service units for management’s reference

Requirements:-

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience, including 3 years’ experience in ESG field
  • Sound ESG Knowledge and solid experience in initiating Green projects
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, well organized with analytical-mind, responsible, proactive, detailed minded and able to work under tight schedule.
  • Independent, self-motivated and client oriented
  • Knowledge of operation environment and culture of nonprofit organizations
  • Flexible personality, initiative with mind-set for improving service quality, analytical thinking
  • Sound project management and people management skills
  • Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/ Putonghua

Contract Period: 2 years

Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays (44 hours per week)
