The Enterprise Solutions Office (ESU) is responsible for implementing and managing the University’s central information systems and enterprise content management system.  Working in partnership with departments in the integration of information technology into administrative processes, the Enterprise Solutions Office aspires to provide efficient services to students, staff, alumni and the University administration.
 
Duties :  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the appointee is expected to: 

  1. Lead the Office in delivering effective information system solutions to the University, and providing professional support throughout the system development life-cycle;
  2. Oversee the University database and integrated information systems for smooth information flow between various administrative systems owned by different offices;
  3. Prepare solution roadmaps and formulate information system initiatives to support the strategic development of the University;
  4. Work closely with other Central IT teams, administrative offices and vendors to ensure all infrastructure and platform are stable, reliable, efficient and secured for running the central administrative information systems and the cloud-based enterprise content management system;
  5. Provide insightful advice and introduce innovative ideas to stakeholders on the use of technology to develop and revolutionize business process and system workflow; and
  6. Leverage information system enhancement and integration projects, and drive automation of business processes to improve University productivity (such as work simplification and process optimization).


Requirements :

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science plus relevant professional/postgraduate qualification in related disciplines;
  2. Substantial managerial experience at senior level in sizeable organizations, and a successful track record in leading a portfolio of information systems development at the enterprise level;
  3. Be fully conversant with best practice and emerging information system development and technologies in the market;
  4. Solid change management skills, strong leadership ability and project management capabilities;
  5. A dynamic personality, excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, as well as strong ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels are required; and
  6. Working experience in a tertiary institution and possession of a clear vision for academic computing are highly welcomed.


Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
