This is an exciting leadership opportunity to make a substantial professional and personal contribution to this growing organisation at a critical stage of its development. 

We are looking for a Head of Educational Services to lead and manage all aspects of Special Educational Needs programme for our students.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing and developing the Special Educational Needs (SEN) programme aligned to best practice which meets student needs
  • Developing e-learning programmes and resources  
  • Providing a stimulating and accessible environment using multiple approaches for developing content and skills
  • Ensure the special educational needs of students working in the social enterprises are integrated into the Centre and its programmes
  • As a senior leader of TNC participate in internal and external events, communications and meetings (e.g., with parents, donors, Social Welfare dept.)
  • Selection and overall supervision of the Centre’s network of professionals including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, counsellors and social workers
  • Ensure the Centre has policies which reflect best practice in SEN
  • Manage the work performance of SEN facilitators and specialists; provide coaching, feedback and conduct performance reviews; arrange suitable training and development
  • Staff admin (expenses, rosters, annual leave approvals)

 

Requirements

  • Degree qualified or above in Special Needs Education, Psychology or similar
  • 5+ years working in special needs field
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Knowledge of or experience in behaviour management
  • Report writing and interpretation of using clinical language
  • English language proficiency (both verbal and written) is essential; Chinese skills are useful.
