Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. In 2019/20, the Club made a record return to the Government of HK$19.9 billion in duty and profits tax and contributed HK$0.8 billion to the Lotteries Fund. Approved charity and community donations were HK$4.5 billion.

The Club is Hong Kong's largest single taxpayer and one of the city’s major employers. Its Charities Trust is also one of the world's top ten charity donors. The Club is always "riding high together for a better future" with the people of Hong Kong.

The Department

The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience to local and overseas customers of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. It operates 88 Race Meetings a year, 37 Simulcasts days, a thrice-weekly Mark 6 Draw, 7X24 Digital Channels, 7X24 Football Betting Services on over 11,000 different leagues per year. The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.
With around 100 off-course betting branches and 2 racecourses, Retail and Telebet Services Department is committed to provide quality and efficient service to our customers throughout Hong Kong.

The Job

You will:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of District Office and support the team by performing tasks related to OCB branches
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports including Staffing administration (on-boarding for new staff, training, rostering, payroll, COVID 19 related reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate district administrative tasks with other department e.g. PCOC/RPS/BOCC, etc.
  • Handle procurement matters, data input and filing systems maintenance, etc.
  • Arrange correspondence, compile reports, prepare and handle the Club’s documentations properly.
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses.
  • Assist in ad-hoc assignments when required and undertake other duties as assigned by Retail Manager.
About You

You should have:

  • Diploma or above in any disciplines
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Retail or Service industry
  • Ability to be a good team player, detail-oriented with strong organisational, communications and inter-personal skills in a fast paced-environment
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • High computer literacy with proficiency in MS office application such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
