Event Manager / Associate

Duties and Responsibilities

  •          Responsible for managing events and ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
  •          Produce detailed proposals for pre-events and on site planning
  •          Managing and coordinating suppliers and all events logistics
  •          Handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  •          Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  •          Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
  •          Managing operational and logistical facets of events
  •          Travelling to onsite inspections, oversee setup, dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  •          Willingness to work additional hours and work on weekends as needed
  •          Achieving and delivering on targets to meet expectations and the company profit margin
  •          Enthusiasm in executing a wide variety of events and promotions

 

Requirements:

  •          University graduate in Event Management, Marketing or related field; or equivalent professional qualification
  •          At least 5-7 years of experience in Event or Marketing related field
  •          Organisational skills and attention to detail
  •          Communication and interpersonal skills
  •          Negotiation skills when looking for the best price from venues, suppliers and contractors
  •          Possession of technical knowledge
  •          Possession of good people management / supervisory skills
  •          Good problem solving skills
  •          Time management skills and ability to work in a high paced, high pressure environment
  •          A flexible, target-driven, proactive approach
  •          Self-motivation and enthusiasm

Good command of written & spoken English and Mandarin
