Responsibilities:

  • assist in the coordination and production of editorial projects, including newsletter, booklet, pamphlet, etc.;
  • responsible for writing and translation of contents;
  • conceptualise ideas and convert them to interesting stories;
  • conduct interviews with internal staff and outside parties for publications or social media contents;
  • assist in University’s events and activities including public relations, marketing, media relations, branding, publicity and promotion, etc.;
  • liaise and coordinate with internal staff and outside parties such as media reporter / advertising agency / school representatives for publicity campaigns;
  • maintain close relationship with various stakeholders of the University, e.g. media, business sector, community, government and other education institutions; and
  • prepare publicity materials, including but not limited to press releases, write-up, social media and video content.

 

Applicants should:

  • possess a recognized university degree, preferably in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism or other related disciplines;
  • have at least 4 years’ working experience in publications, editorial, copywriting, PR, media, marketing or brand building;
  • demonstrate editorial acumen and possess solid Chinese and English editing and writing skills;
  • have good storytelling skills with the ability to convert ideas and information to attractive stories;
  • have excellent command of spoken English and Chinese;
  • have strong administrative abilities, communication abilities and organizational skills;
  • be well-organized and a good team player;
  • have the ability to work independently and efficiently; and
  • preferably have hands-on experience with WordPress.

 

Working outside normal office hours may be required.
