Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, working with more than 150 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Mainland China, is committed to advancing patient services, research, training and education to the highest possible standard in all major areas of ophthalmology and visual sciences. We, with a strong track record and profile in international ophthalmology, are also dedicated to worthwhile local community programmes and public educational projects. The Department, always ‘in search of excellence’, is highly committed to supporting career development of all staff members. We are looking for candidates for the following position to further strengthen our research.
Executive Officer II (Ref. 1600025H) (closing date: November 15, 2016)
Applicant should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: http://www.per.cuhk.edu.hk/JobVacancies/LanguageforEO.aspx; (iii) at least 5 years’ post-qualification full-time work experience, preferably in public relations, event organisation and management; (iv) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (v) excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and the ability to work independently, multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Duties include (a) planning, co-ordinating and organising events; (b) liaising with internal and external units for collaborations and events; and (c) performing other tasks as assigned. Appointments will initially be made on 1- or 2-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
