Executive Officer (PR0294/20-21)

The appointee is expected to provide a range of administrative support to the legal and general administration teams within the Office, assist the Legal Counsel in the handling of legal documentation, and policies and guidelines preparation, and provide support to meetings of various committees and task forces, institutional risk management, liaising with government offices, administrative units and stakeholders, including institutions in China, coordinating/organising University-wide events and other such duties as assigned from time to time.

Applicants should have (a) Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience. Holders of an associate degree/higher diploma with substantial years of relevant experience are also welcome to apply; (b) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (c) strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with attentiveness to details; (d) strong self-motivation and quality of a team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight schedules; and (e) good IT literacy.

Work experience in (i) the handling of legal documentation, and policies and guidelines preparation; and (ii) a professional law or accountancy firm, company secretary service providers and/or company secretarial department of a large organisation will be a key advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit a written test and attend an interview.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract up to 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
