Executive Officer (PR0401/20-21)

The appointee will be responsible for administrative duties including (i) planning and organising conferences and events; (ii) liaising with local and overseas institutions to execute various activities and functions; (iii) compiling proposals, reports, and write-ups; (iv) providing secretarial services to committees; and (v) performing any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of post-qualification and solid work experience in administration, communication and event management, preferably in the higher education sector.  They should have (a) excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua will be advantageous); (b) excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; (c) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; (d) an innovative and entrepreneurial attitude; (e) ability to work collaboratively in a team; and (f) the ability to multitask and work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
