Currently going through an exciting period of growth, Uncommon Design & Production Limited is now looking for an experienced Exhibition Design Project Manager to come on board and take the lead on exhibitions across the years. The post-holder will manage the process from instigation, through to design, build and installation. The role will take responsibility for the overall delivery of projects, and is expected to develop strong working relationships internationally as well as work closely with clients to ensure exhibitions deliver high quality, contemporary, and engaging content.

Responsibilities include:

n Managing and delivering a range of exhibitions

n Liaising with clients to discuss the brief (themes, ideas or products to be promoted)

n Consulting clients about design requirements

n International client management including keeping them updated with project timelines

n Producing realistic but competitive quotes

n Clarifying design issues

n Ordering exhibition materials

n Creating initial design sketches and computer-generated 3D visuals, sometimes building models and prototypes

n Doing a variety of design work (graphic design and artwork) for different displays and exhibitions

n Ensuring correct levels of resourcing across projects

n Supplier liaison and management

n Managing and developing relationships with external suppliers and contractors

n Encouraging Philippine companies to participate in exhibitions hosted in Hong Kong On-site event management, including overseeing stand installation

n Taking project management responsibility for aspects of our small-scale temporary and permanent exhibitions development, balancing multiple projects simultaneously

n Leading and motivating cross-departmental exhibition project teams, ensuring development progresses to schedule, and that key issues are addressed proactively throughout the project development process

n Responsible for the production and delivery of specific exhibition projects within time and budget and to agreed standards of quality

n Using the client’s preferred project method to establish the scope and chart progress of each display project, including content development, schedule of works, itemized budget, risk assessment and issues log

n Managing the production of tender documents, the tender process and negotiating agreements for exhibition contractors

n Managing the construction process

n Encouraging feedback from project teams and ensuring ‘lessons learned’ are shared with colleagues and fed into new projects

 

Candidates must have a proven capability of managing and delivering exhibitions and should ideally come from an exhibition design and build company. Candidates must be comfortable liaising with internal design and creative teams as well as co-ordinating with internal build teams. Candidates need to be client facing and have a flexible approach combined with the passion and drive to join one of the leading companies!
