The Ladies Recreation Club (LRC) is one of Hong Kong’s most sought after family-oriented sports and recreations clubs. Founded in 1883, it occupies a prime location in the Mid-Levels area of Hong Kong. While the LRC is well known for tennis and swimming, the Club has a wide range of other recreational and sporting activities as well as a spa. In addition, the LRC has extensive food and beverage facilities including a dining room, a family clubhouse restaurant, a sports bar, a cocktail lounge, a modern bistro, banquet hall and a wine cellar etc. The LRC is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following position.

Floor Management

  • Assisted by restaurant managers, the job holder will be accountable for the day to day operations of the all current Food & Beverage outlets (Lotus Bistro, Family Clubhouse, Dining Room, Lounge, Banquet, Sports Bar, Pizzeria, Le Chais and outside catering service) and a gourmet shop
  • Review, develop and implement service guideline/workflow/operating procedures to streamline the current operations
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards to be consistently displayed in all restaurants
  • Design and execute F & B departmental weekly audit to ensure highest member satisfaction and to comply with health and safety requirements
  • Enhance communication between service floor and kitchen
  • Strong presence in floor supervision to support the entire F & B service team

Events

  • Create and executive F&B new initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Direct and organize F&B functions and promotional activities

 

Staff Management

  • Design and conduct regular staff training including service training, food & beverage and system/procedural training etc.
  • Cultivate staff with a sense of ‘can do’ attitude and lead them “go extra miles”
  • Review staff rosters and holiday plans in compliance with the regulatory requirements
  • Align staff job responsibilities and key deliverables across all F & B outlets
  • Train restaurant managers to manage their F & B outlets efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure health and safety measures properly in place
  • In charge of staff work performance including performance targets and evaluation

Financial Management

  • Assist in managing the F & B department expenses and achieve financial goals
  • Improve the F & B department financial performance particularly the number of covers, average spending, participation rate in club dining events and staffing expenses
  • Review and submit P & L report of each event

 

  • Degree in hospitality management with strong analytical and problem solving skills  
  • Solid F&B operational experience in multiple dining outlets including managing full-time and part-time staff
  • Good sense of business acumen to recommend and execute new initiatives to improve F & B financial and service standard
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a wealth of knowledge in food and wine
  • Holder of food hygiene course certificate
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
