General Manager - The Hong Kong Bankers Club 

The Hong Kong Bankers Club, is a unique venue which brings together professionals from all corners of the city’s financial community. The Club provides a sophisticated modern oasis in the heart of the Central business district, where leading figures from Hong Kong’s ever-evolving business landscape can relax, dine, connect and collaborate in unprecedented style.

The Club is managed by a division of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels group (HSH), owner of the luxury The Peninsula Hotels brand, and we are looking to appoint a General Manager who will engage with members and the club committees whilst ensuring the maintenance of the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the team inclusive of the Food & Beverage Manager and Membership Manager with the intention to achieve performance and strategic targets
  • Drive and develop innovative food and beverage programmes and foster a service culture that provides the highest quality dining experience. 
  • Develop and oversee the annual internal marketing plan and budgets to ensure club programmes, promotions and activities are communicated to members. 
  • Give recommendations and oversee the Club’s policies and procedures to ensure standards are met at all times.
  • Act as a first point of contact and ensure strong relations between HSH and the Club’s Committee with an emphasis on communication, proactive actions and solutions.

General requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar capacity in luxury private clubs or a combined experience of ten years in a similar capacity in clubs and luxury hotels
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to lead marketing strategies
  • Fluent English and Chinese communication proficiency
  • Exceptional personal presentation as this role will be a brand ambassador
