The Company

Our Client is a commercial real estate group based in mainland China. They own and operate large shopping malls in first-tier cities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source foreign upmarket fashion brands for retail sales at own mall and other PRC markets through channels including e-commerce, distributors and partnerships
  • Develop own-brand fashions through design, OEM and inventory management
  • Run and expand fashion sales as a new business development with successful business deals
  • Set strategic direction for different product categories in respect of mix, fit, value, price point, and volume
  • Lead, direct and develop teams from concept through sourcing/manufacturing to assortment stages in collaboration with design, merchandising/manufacturing and channel leadership
  • Collaborate with manufacturing on execution of production capacity, quality and delivery
  • Plan and manage marketing and visual merchandising to promote sales in line with customer preference and brand appeal


  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • At least 10 years’ solid experience in fashion retail management, luxury brand marketing or merchandising management. Prior experience in PRC is required.
  • Familiar and has good insight of e-commerce impacting fashion retail in the modern era
  • Understand market trends, consumer needs and competitive landscape in PRC fashion market with insights applicable to product development/sourcing and marketing
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, while fluency in Mandarin is a must
  • Open to travel within China and overseas
  • Need to station in Guangzhou, PRC
