Client Details

Our client is a reputable listed group with operations around the globe with investments in property and energy sectors.

Description

Under the holding level legal team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality, efficient and business-focused legal services to internal departments including legal advice, M&A transaction execution and management, liaise and interact with regulators and external law firms
  • Handling legal due diligence investigation, participate in project negotiation and meetings;
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents, advise and recommend on legal and compliance matters;
  • Closely follow up on the progress of assignments of foreign investment, tax, foreign exchange & debts, energy, resources & comprehensive utilisation, environment protection and other business-related issues;
  • Analysing impacts of new laws, HKEX Listing Rules, government rules and regulations to the business and provide legal memos and advice accordingly;
  • Assist team members of various departments to accomplish team objective.

Profile

Successful candidate would be:

  • LLB or JD Degree, MBA or Finance background is preferable
  • Solicitor of the High Court of HKSAR, Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales, Member of the State Bar of New York or California, or a qualified solicitor in Australia or New Zealand.
  • 8+ PQE experience in law firm and ideally with in-house experience within a multinational company.
  • Experience in a variety of local and cross-border private and public company M&A and private equity deals, investments, joint ventures and other corporate transactions.
  • Knowledge on HKEX Listing Rules and regulatory compliance would be a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Putonghua are essential
  • Ability to work independently and within minimum supervision
