Responsibilities:  

  • coordinate and oversee the daily operation and manage the financial accounts of the Residential Colleges;
  • lead and supervise a team of administrative staff and cooperate with different units of the University in support of the overall operation and management of the Residential Colleges, including facilities management, repair and maintenance, security, cleaning and landscaping services;
  • coordinate and oversee student application and admission of the Residential Colleges;
  • collaborate with different internal stakeholders, including Residential Colleges Masters, Associate Masters, Tutors, and student bodies on community building and case management;
  • handle emergency and critical incidents in the Residential Colleges; and
  • serve in related Residential Colleges committees and work groups.

 

Applicants should: 

  • possess a recognized degree, preferably a higher degree in any discipline;
  • have at least 6 years' supervisory responsibilities or at a senior level in student hall / property management;
  • have genuine interest in student work and be willing to work for students;
  • be mature, conscientious, independent and able to work under tight timelines;
  • have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).

 

The appointee may be required to work outside normal school hours.  Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Manager.
