About our Client

Our client is a expanding retail and food and beverage group in Hong Kong. They are comitted to deliver a world-class fine dining guest experience for their customers. As part of their business expansion plan in Hong Kong, they would like to invite an experienced Omakase Head Chef to join their pre-opening team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, you will maintain complete control of the back of house operations at an upscale Omakase restaurant. You are responsible for delivering the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen. In addition, you will ensure targets are met in relation to payroll and food costs and that the brigade comply with food safety and health & safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working at an upscale Japanese Omakase restaurant. You must possess strong experience in Japanese cuisine, especially in sushi execution. You will demonstrate effective management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong passion about delivering high quality, seasonal food is an essential success factor. Proficiency in English is a pre-requisite for this role.
