Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for managing the corporate communications functions of HKCAAVQ, he/she is required to perform the following tasks as allocated by the Directorate led by the Executive Director:

  • To develop strategic and operational plans in corporate communications in engaging internal and external stakeholders in line with the strategic plan of the Council.
  • To lead and establish a coherent team of members in supporting the implementations of corporate communications plans.
  • To develop and establish positive partnership among key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally.
  • To provide strategic and implementation advice to the Directorate on media issues, exposure and responses, including handling of sensitive situations and scenarios.
  • To lead regular reviews on effectiveness of corporate communications initiatives
  • To manage and handle complaints outside in line with the established process and internal unit support.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Executive Director.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess a university degree comparable to HKQF level 5 preferable in in Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline, with at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. We are looking for an individual who has excellent planning and organization and management skills; good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; good media network; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). The ideal candidate should be proactive, creative, independent as well as a team player, and able to work with staff across the organisation. An understanding of the education system in Hong Kong would be of an advantage.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal. We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
