Due to the rapid expansion and market demand, they are looking for a Head of Innovations to join their organization. The position will be report to CEO and Founder of the company, with a succession plan into the role of Chief Innovations Officer

Our client is currently recruiting a Head of Innovations responsible for spearheading technological innovation that improves operational performance, increases market reach and improves unique selling propositions (100% clean produce)

The duties include:

  • Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals

  • Consolidate systems across the business units and streamline the company's development pipeline

  • Review initiatives and programmes, identify opportunities to harmonise technology applications, in order to achieve alignment with the over-arching technology infrastructures and architecture

  • Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and develop deep working relationships with leading platforms and partners

  • Develop strategic partnership with senior external stakeholders (gov-agencies, vendors etc) to promote / influence directions

  • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture

  • Track, analyse and monitor all systems to optimize for high availability and low latency

  • Manage the deployment of staff competency/capabilities to meet company objectives. Coach/mentor staff, identify high potential talent and hone their capabilities, drive staff development opportunities, coordinate and integrate people efforts with the objective of attracting and retaining a motivated and high-performing team

  • Maintain the work culture to emphasize excellence in all aspects of technical development

  • Communicate technology strategy to clients and investors

Profile

The successful candidate will have experience in robotics, LED lighting and software development, or demonstrate the capabilities of learning the three core disciplines quickly:

  • 10+ years of software/hardware engineering and IT experience

  • Exceptional project management and organization skills

  • Graduate degree in relevant fields, masters preferred

  • Strategic thinking skills with proven track record of success in leadership positions

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy, and proficient in budgeting and business-planning

  • Proficient in technological research and analyses

  • Flexible and Adaptable
