HAECO ITM Limited is a joint venture between HAECO (Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd) and Cathay Pacific, providing inventory technical management services to different airline customers in Hong Kong and around the world. Customers anticipate to benefit saving from the ITM services through synergy of component pooling, sound technical know-how of component engineering, repair and supplier management.

 

HXITM is now looking for candidates who are interested in this business for the position of Head of Inventory Management

Scope of Duties:

  • Lead and manage the Inventory Management team
  • Manage staff and team performance by developing effective competencies and setting goals for the team through coaching, on job training, internal and external trainings
  • Manage Inventory operations owning disciplines such as forecasting, analysis, asset control, optimization, validate stocking levels against demand forecasting or defined service levels
  • Develop inventory optimization strategies, improves supply chain efficiency and drives continuous improvement
  • Ensure accurate levels of inventory are planned to support operations which meets off shelf performance targets
  • Critical review of data to ensure integrity by understanding and eliminating the sources of error within technical data and records
  • Carry out investigative review and recommends inventory plans following data or root cause analysis
  • Ensure packaging and storage complies with aviation regulatory and quality requirements
  • Manage warehousing, store and logistic service providers to meet pre-defined or contractual performance
  • Partner with teams across the organization to create strategies which improve inventory turnover, utilization or inventory disposal
  • Compile, control and monitor expenditure against budget or capital expenditure


Requirements:

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management Statistics or equivalent business discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical supply chain experience, including substantial management experience in Inventory management, ideally gained in the aviation industry
  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to drive and manage multi skilled operational teams
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, strong in demand forecasting, material requirement planning (MRP), inventory modelling and inventory optimization
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships across all levels internally and with external customers, suppliers, service providers
  • Strong in people management, project management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Adaptable and responsive to change and demonstrate the ability to drive change, strives for excellence
  • Advanced experience with MS-Excel, MS-Access and other database management software
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
