Our client is a leading Chinese securities business with tremendous regional growth. They have aggressive plans for expansion in the region. This is a new headcount role directly reporting to the CEO. To cope with their expansion at the securities business, they are now hiring the following position for one of our subsidiaries in Hong Kong.


Head of Operations (Report to CEO)

Location: Central, Hong Kong



  • Assist the CEO in overseeing and controlling the full spectrum of the office operations
  • Develop and establish operating policies consistent with the company objectives and ascertain their adequate execution
  • Appraise and evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and report results to the CEO
  • Manage the entire operational functions to ensure strict adherence to the operating procedures and compliance with internal guidelines, and statutory legislations and rules
  • Manage production of monthly management accounts including providing value-added analysis of business/operational performance, conducting variance analysis from budgets, monitoring cash flow and seeking cost/expense reduction opportunities;
  • Participate in company's major investment and financing decisions, optimize the capital structure and capital allocation
  • Coordinate the relationship between the company and the SFC, banks, lawyers, commerce agency, etc.



  • Degree holder or above in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
  • Relevant industry and tertiary qualifications is preferable
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in conglomerate company/investment company &securities firm targeting at institutional investors in global market
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the management level of a securities firm engaging in SFC Type 1, 4 and 9 Regulated Activity
  • Solid experience in Shanghai/ Hong Kong stock Connect is a plus
  • Good understanding of operational controls, workflows and regulatory requirements
  • Proven strong track record managing a multi–functional team within a complex business environment
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
