An established European brand, they are a leader in the consumer electronics field covering large appliances, small appliances, audio, TV's and more. This is a newly created role to cope with their expansion plans.

The Role:
Reporting to the General Management, the Head of Sales is responsible for all aspects of the international sales go-to-market strategy to support the development and positioning with large retailers and distributors. Responsible for selection of and implementation of the dealer network to achieve short and long-term sales objectives. The successful individual will ensure execution of dealer agreements, and sales related business activities. The Head of Sales' primary objective is the build out, develop and further establish a dealer network that will achieve sales and overall business goals.

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement products line plan to sell & merchandising plan for each dealer that achieves maximum sales volumes/margins, optimizing spending; 
  • Develop in-depth understanding of customers, customer systems and cross-functional teams within customers to develop strategic customer programs; 
  • Develop and manage annual allowances budget; track spending monthly; 
  • Develop relationships with new trade customers, dealers, and distributors;
  • Educate trade partners on the merits of our products and brand; 
  • Create sales presentations, merchandise trade floors and conduct line reviews with customers; 
  • Contribute to Merchandising team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information; 
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, other internal cross-functional teams;

 

About the candidate:

  • 8-15 years of sales and business development experience in the home appliance industry, ideally from brand business or manufacturing background;
  • Must have large appliance experience, refrigerators, washing machines, cookers etc.
  • Proven track record of successful sales and business results through distributors channels in developing new markets;
  • Strong Analytical and Presentation Skills; 
  • Strong communicator with interpersonal and relationship building skills; 
  • Detail-oriented and can also think strategically/communicate strategic implications; 
  • Team player, driven, action-oriented and responsive in a very fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin & English
  • Must be OK with travelling
