A member of the Executive Management Group within the Central Support Office (CSO) in Hong Kong and reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales & Distribution is responsible for all aspects of the Swire Hotels’ Sales & Distribution strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Distribution Strategy

Definition and development of the distribution strategy for both The House Collective and EAST with the objective of increasing direct sales and reducing distribution costs

  • Lead the overall relationship with distribution partners, notably Preferred Hotel Group and Sabre
  • Lead the development of the GDS strategy, including the move to private label GDS code
  • Lead the development of the online sales strategy, including responsibility for the Internet Booking Engine
  • Lead the OTA strategy
  • Oversight of channel management and cost of sales
  • Work closely with the marketing team in support of overall marketing and sales objectives.

Global Sales Strategy

  • Define and execute global sales strategies for:
    • All leisure and corporate segments for key shared accounts
    • Online and offline sales
  • Lead negotiations with key shared corporate accounts
  • Oversee trade shows and sales exhibitions strategy
  • Using HotelIQ BI tool, identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • Oversee the development and roll out and adoption of sales CRM tool 

Revenue Management Strategy

  • Review pricing and inventory strategies to ensure best practice
  • Support property level local revenue management strategies

Team Management and Development

  • Directly lead the Sales & Distribution teams within CSO and the hotels
  • Provide on-going support and guidance for hotel team members

 

 

Do you have the following? 

  • University or post-graduate diploma or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience involving revenue management, distribution and sales in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to negotiate distribution and sales contracts  
  • Understanding of travel and / or hospitality market dynamics
  • Resourceful, energetic and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Good leadership skills, able to provide direction and maximise team talents
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Putonghua ability would be an advantage
  • Support-minded, team-player, sense of humour and a tireless desire to deliver results
  • Confident, engaging, public speaking skills
