People & Capability Officer (Hong Kong)

Our client, a world leading retail group with global operations, is looking for a People & Capability Officer for their Hong Kong Offices.  

The new hire will become a part of the company’s small, friendly and dynamic Human Resources Team.  

 

Role Purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to support the People & Capability Manager in completing recruitment and training and development. 

 

Role Profile:

Role Title: People & Capability Officer
Reporting To: People & Capability Manager
Role Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end recruitment process of the assigned portfolio including sourcing, screening,
    interviewing, assisting in offer proposal and conducting reference check
  • Liaise with external recruiters on recruitment strategies
  • Work closely with department managers to identify the suitability of candidates
  • Coordinate recruitment activities such as monthly orientation, training session and workshops
  • Provide guidance and support to new team members to well adapt to Company culture
  • Provide professional advise on team members enquiries such as company policies, culture and
    value
  • Partner with People & Capability Manager to handle team member issues
  • Be the social committee member in local office and work with cross functional team to plan and
    organize company-wide activities such as annual dinner, wellness activities, team building to
    enhance employee relations and engagement.
  • Support People & Capability Manager to facilitate the annual performance review program by
    ensuring all the review are completed according to agreed timeline and participate in team
    member performance improvement plan
  • Consolidate and prepare local monthly recruitment reports for People & Capability Manager
    analysis and review

 

Qualifications:

 

  • University graduate in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • 3-6 years’ relevant experience in a sizable or multinational organization , with retail or sourcing industry experience is an advantage
  • Well versed with local Employment Ordinance
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese is essential
  • Proficient in MS office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of HRIS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and confident to partner with different stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal skill and be a good team player
  • Detail-minded, well organized and able to work independently
