We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as IFRS9 Transition Manager, 15 months contract.

In this role, you will

  • Maintain strong governance and control oversight of key programmes of the Finance function through programme management office and project accounting activities.
  • Ensure Finance projects adhering to Global Finance governance standards and methodology.
  • Oversight and monitoring of programmes risk and issue and driving the mitigating action and escalation.
  • Ensure the quality and control of the delivery of projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with programme and project managers in delivering governance and control to these programmes and projects.
  • Drive delivery and governance of activities supporting IFRS 9 parallel run and business transition in a complex project environment.
  • Provide oversight and governance of activities supporting smooth business transition into Business As Usual.
  • During transition, measuring project delivery against the agreed criteria, reporting status to stakeholders, and ensuring effective transition to Business As Usual with clear documentation.
  • Provide important link into project delivery team to ensure quality in operational readiness planning.
  • Assist regional project manager to early identify potential challenges, risks and issues in the project plans and mitigate accordingly.
  • Be familiar with leading and managing solutions delivery and supporting operational processes and systems.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary environment, able to operate in both a Finance, Risk and Technical environment in a credible manner.
  • Sound appreciation of Accounting, Regulatory and Management Information principles.
  • Good understanding of monthly and quarterly financial reporting process and requirements will be preferred.
  • Ability to form effective relationships and influence senior stakeholders in Risk and Finance.
  • Ability to work in a change environment across key stakeholders from Group, Regional and Country teams.
  • Understanding of Project Management tools and techniques will be added advantage
